Hopper stores offer quality and durable materials such as uniforms, camping equipment and educational books, while youth stays, located in natural settings, are perfect for camps and weekends with a focus on adventure and cooperation. With a focus on affordability, quality and sustainability, Hopper supports scouting values and makes scouting accessible and inspiring to all.
A digital home for Scouting and adventure: bringing together Hopper offerings and youth residencies
Scouts and Guides Flanders sought to connect their Hopper stores and youth stays in an innovative way by developing one integrated online platform. This ambitious project aimed to create a unique scouting experience, where users could effortlessly view and book youth stays, while simultaneously accessing an extensive web shop full of Hopper products. With a fresh and adventurous design in mind, PHPro ensured that this platform was not only functional, but also inspiring. With determination and expertise, PHPro put their shoulders to this project and brought scouting and adventure together in one clear, dynamic digital environment.
A flexible and functional new Hopper site
The new Hopper Web site not only had to be flexible and user-friendly, but also offer broad functionality. Visitors needed to be able to easily view and reserve youth accommodations, while also being able to order Hopper products. Achieving this required multiple integrations, including with the ERP system (Navision), a PIM system (Akeneo) and a custom-developed booking module by PHPro.
Analysis: The basis for improvement
We started with a thorough visual analysis of the existing websites to identify key pain points. These insights formed the basis for the new design, which focused on enhancing the synergy between youth stays and camping products. Our goal was to give users access to all relevant information and functions with as few clicks as possible.
Design: a user-centric approach
Based on the analysis, our UI designer developed wireframes to create an efficient user flow. The new structure makes navigating between ordering products and reserving premises intuitive and easy. We then worked out a playful and attractive design specifically tailored to Hopper's target audience. The result is a visually strong interface that perfectly matches the adventurous spirit of scouting.
Build: From Design to Reality
Our technical team brought the design to life in Magento, a platform that lends itself to complex integrations. We implemented seamless interfacing with Hopper's ERP system and introduced Akeneo as a PIM to streamline product management. In addition, we developed and integrated a fully customized Magento booking module that allows users to easily reserve classrooms!

The new Hopper website became a paragon of technical craftsmanship and visual masterpiece. With one integrated full-service platform, visitors had everything at their fingertips: from easily booking youth accommodations and sites to ordering high-quality camping equipment. The website combined effortless functionality with an attractive, adventurous design that perfectly matched the scouting experience. A complex challenge was successfully transformed into a seamless digital experience, helping Hopper achieve its mission with flying colors!
