The challenge: Juntoo's race towards an advanced webshop

Juntoo faced a dual challenge: replatforming their webshop to Magento PWA while simultaneously migrating to a new ERP system, all within a strict deadline. A Progressive Web App combines the power of an app with the accessibility of a website, which is essential for an optimal user experience – and therefore better sales!

Despite a recent redesign of the webshop, the existing web design provided a foundation. However, the technical complexity remained high. With integrations like Akeneo as the PIM system, Tilroy for pricing and orders, Tweakwise for category pages, and Sensefuel for search functionality, there was no room for errors.

Thanks to the professional team at PHPro, the first version of this technically advanced webshop was delivered in just five months – an impressive piece of craftsmanship!

How Juntoo's ERP switch revolutionized the customer experience"

Shortly after the relaunch of the Juntoo webshop, preparations were made for the ERP switch. Internally, Juntoo migrated from Joro to Microsoft Business Central, with the webshop following suit by expanding its customer portal.

Thanks to this ERP switch, customers can now easily access both their online and offline orders, as well as their invoices. Additionally, a feature was developed to allow customers to pay the remaining balance of an order online, even if the deposit was paid in-store.

To provide even more self-service options, customers can now modify their delivery date or delivery service at any time. Furthermore, thanks to an omnichannel approach, they can also use their gift vouchers online.

"Third phase: How did Juntoo take the user experience and conversion to the next level?!"

After the successful ERP switch, Juntoo focused on improving the user experience. A key step was the implementation of the PHPro Mega Menu, a popular solution for large clients. This menu provides both webmasters and end customers with ease of use and flexibility.

Conversion-boosting features also received a lot of attention. For example, a smart notification was added to the checkout to alert customers about additional discounts with a minimum spend. Additionally, various product templates were developed to better inform customers about the extensive range of products. The introduction of guided selling helps customers in their search for the perfect piece of furniture by offering a filtered product list based on a few questions.

Since Juntoo is known for its inspiring approach, new tools were added to better serve customers. A highlight is the "Shop The Look" module, which allows customers to easily purchase products inspired by stylish photos. These innovations highlight Juntoo's commitment to providing inspiration and convenience for every customer!

Impressive performance boost: Faster, more efficient, and higher conversions!

During this third phase, the focus wasn't just on feature development. A significant amount of time was also invested in improving the performance of the PWA, and the results were truly impressive! The Page View load time was improved by an impressive 80%, as well as the server load.

Customers now enjoy a better browsing experience, while Juntoo was able to reduce server costs, resulting in monthly savings. Furthermore, this led to a higher conversion rate, making the investment a double win-win!

Final phase: Transition from project work to ongoing support through consultancy

Gaandeweg breidde Juntoo het interne team verder uit. PHPro fungeert op vandaag echter nog steeds als Technisch Architect en Adviseur, om de kwaliteit te waarborgen en mee te bouwen aan de toekomst van de webshop, terwijl Juntoo vertrouwen op zijn eigen team.

 

Juntoo aimed to establish its own development team and posted online job openings. After hiring their first internal Magento developer, they were onboarded into the project with guidance from PHPro. This ensured the quality of the work and provided the developer with the opportunity to thoroughly learn the project, with support from experienced experts.

Over time, Juntoo continued to expand its internal team. However, PHPro still serves as the Technical Architect and Advisor today, ensuring quality and contributing to the future development of the webshop, while Juntoo relies on its own team.
