In addition to their webshop, Aerobertics has a physical store in Kortrijk, where customers can find expert advice and excellent customer service. They are known for their passion for modeling, fast delivery and technical support, making them a favorite choice in the world of RC enthusiasts.
Migrating a webshop to Magento 2
As a fast-growing and ambitious company, Aerobertics aimed to increase its operational level by making the switch from Magento 1 to Magento 2.
Magento 2: The perfect match!
For the experienced Magento experts at PHPro, this was a challenge that completely matched their expertise.
The main goal of this project was to largely automate and centralize the online sales process. By integrating advanced technology, Aerobertics gained the ability to easily manage orders from one central system. This resulted in significant workload relief for the webshop administrators and a more efficient operational workflow.
With the move to Magento 2, we not only took our webshop to the next level, but also secured the future of our growth - efficient, centralized and ready for what is to come!
How we approached the project: Collaboration, structure and a phased approach
To complete the project successfully and efficiently, we took a strategic approach with close cooperation and clear communication. Originally, the idea was to put all systems (web shop, PIM and ERP) live simultaneously. However, this entailed significant risks. That is why we opted for a phased go live, using an MVP approach to better spread risks and address problems in a more targeted way.
Thorough analysis as a basis
The project began with a comprehensive analysis of the required functionalities for both the front-end and back-end of the web shop. In addition, the expectations for the PIM and ERP integrations were sharply mapped out. With these clear starting points, we were able to lay a solid foundation for the development phase.
Efficient development through close cooperation
During the development phase, there was intensive cooperation with both the ERP and PIM integrators. Through this close coordination, the integrations ran smoothly and we were able to deliver concrete results faster. Constant consultation ensured that any challenges were addressed immediately.
UX Design: Modern, user-friendly and goal-oriented
A modern design with improved information flow and user-friendly navigation was key. The result? Visitors click through on products faster and scroll through pages with ease. This contributes to a better user experience and increases conversion.

To let visitors easily and quickly find specific models or accessories, we thoroughly optimized the webshop's search function. This resulted in an intuitive and efficient search experience.
